Product Introduction
Water Blocking Glass Fiber Yarn is a high-performance non-metallic reinforcement material widely used in the production of optical cables. Typically positioned between the sheath and the cable core, it utilizes its unique water-absorbing and swelling properties to effectively prevent the longitudinal penetration of moisture within the cable, providing lasting and reliable water-blocking protection.
In addition to its excellent water-blocking performance, the yarn also offers good abrasion resistance, flexibility, and mechanical stability, enhancing the overall structural strength and service life of optical cables. Its lightweight, non-metallic nature provides excellent insulation properties, avoiding electromagnetic interference, making it highly suitable for various cable structures such as All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) cables, duct optical cables, and outdoor optical cables.

Application
Water Blocking Glass Fiber Yarn is widely employed as a strengthening member in a variety of optical cable constructions, including ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) Cable and GYTA (Standard Filled Loose Tube for duct or direct burial). It is especially ideal for scenarios where superior moisture resistance and dielectric insulation are critical, such as in power utility networks, lightning-frequent zones, and areas susceptible to strong electromagnetic interference (EMI).
