The customer’s recent purchases include PBT, FRP, Water Blocking Yarn, Fiber Optic Cable Filling Compound, Double-Sided Water Blocking Tape, Polyester Binder Yarn, Aramid Yarn, and Steel-Plastic Composite Tape, covering multiple material requirements within optical fiber cable construction.
Multiple Materials for Different Stages of Optical Fiber Cable Production
Each material serves a specific function within an optical fiber cable:
PBT: Used for loose tubes and other cable components to protect the optical fibers. Hydrolysis resistance and dimensional stability are important properties in optical fiber cable production.
FRP and Aramid Yarn: Used as reinforcing and strength members to provide the required mechanical strength and tensile performance of the cable.
Water Blocking Yarn, Water Blocking Tape, and Fiber Optic Cable Filling Compound: Used for moisture and water protection in different cable designs. The filling compound also provides cushioning and protection for the optical fibers.
