The customer manufactures a range of optical fiber cables, including Figure-8 Aerial Optical Cable, FTTH Cable, central tube indoor optical cable, and non-metallic indoor optical cables. The Phosphatized Steel Wire in this shipment will be used in the production of Figure-8 aerial optical cables.
Phosphatized Steel Wire and FRP Rod: Different Reinforcement Options for Optical Cables
In Figure-8 Aerial Optical Cable, steel wire is commonly used as a separate messenger wire, providing mechanical support for aerial installation. Its water-absorbing components swell upon contact with water, helping fill spaces within the cable core and restrict longitudinal water migration.
