ONE WORLD has successfully completed the shipment of 200 tons of Galvanized Steel Tape, which has been delivered to a power cable manufacturer in Central Asia for the production of steel tape armored power cables.
As one of the commonly used armoring materials for power cables, galvanized steel tape enhances the cable's mechanical protection and is widely used in low-voltage and medium-voltage power cables, control cables, and other armored cable products. It is suitable for applications requiring enhanced mechanical protection, including direct burial, power distribution, and infrastructure projects.
Production Based on Customer Requirements
Based on the customer's product specifications and application requirements, ONE WORLD supplied samples for evaluation and supported the product verification process. After the samples were approved, the 200-ton order entered production and was completed according to the agreed order requirements.
Throughout the manufacturing process, ONE WORLD implemented quality control measures covering dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and packaging to ensure the products met the specified requirements.
Production Trial to Verify Processing Performance
In addition to meeting technical specifications, the processing performance of galvanized steel tape during cable armoring is an important consideration for cable manufacturers.
Before shipment, ONE WORLD carried out a production trial on the steel tape armoring line at its sister company, LINT TOP, to verify the processing performance of this batch.
During the trial, the galvanized steel tape successfully completed continuous operations including payoff, longitudinal wrapping, and steel tape armoring. The material ran smoothly throughout the process without strip breakage or other issues affecting production. Its dimensional accuracy and surface quality met the requirements of the armoring process and supported stable continuous production.
Applications of Galvanized Steel Tape in Power Cables
Steel tape armoring is a common cable structure used in power cables to provide additional mechanical protection. It helps improve the cable's resistance to external mechanical stress during transportation, installation, and service, making it suitable for applications requiring enhanced mechanical protection.
The galvanized steel tape supplied in this shipment was manufactured according to customer requirements and features stable dimensional accuracy, consistent edge quality, a uniform zinc coating, and good corrosion resistance. It is suitable for low-voltage and medium-voltage power cables, control cables, and other steel tape armored cable products while meeting the processing requirements of continuous armoring production.
Continuing to Support the Cable Manufacturing Industry
As global investment in power infrastructure and cable manufacturing continues to grow, higher demands are being placed on cable materials in terms of product consistency, processing stability, and supply capability.
ONE WORLD will continue to improve its manufacturing processes, quality management, and technical support to provide reliable cable material solutions for power cables, fiber optic cables, and specialty cables, helping customers achieve stable and efficient production.
