1. Product introduction

Copper-clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wire (CCAM) is a new high-strength product developed on the basis of copper-clad aluminum wire. It is a bimetallic wire with aluminum-magnesium alloy wire as the core and copper-clad as the outer layer.
We can provide copper clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wire by electroplating method and cladding method according to customers’ requirements.
Among them, the electroplating method uses the principle of electrodeposition to coat the surface of the aluminum-magnesium alloy wire with a copper layer in a copper salt solution. The electroplated wire blanks are then stretched and heat treated to become copper-clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wires of various specifications and properties.
The cladding method is to pretreat the aluminum-magnesium alloy wire and the copper strip respectively, and then coat the copper strip on the surface of the aluminum-magnesium alloy wire by argon arc welding, and then draw to make the surface of the copper and aluminum-magnesium alloy wire to achieve a good combination. So as to get the copper clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wire with the required specifications and performance.
Compared with copper clad aluminum wire, copper clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wire has the advantages of high strength, lighter specific gravity and good electrical conductivity. It overcomes the copper clad aluminum wires’ shortcomings of low strength and easy to break when the wire diameter is less than 0.5mm.
Using copper clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wire instead of pure copper wire braiding can greatly save raw material costs.
We can provide copper clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wires of various specifications, soft and hard state with different copper volume ratio and conductivity.

2. Application

Copper clad aluminum-magnesium alloy wires are widely used in shielding braided wires for CATV system such as coaxial cable, communication network signal transmission cable, audio and video cable, etc.

4. Storage Method

1) The product shall be stored in a dry and ventilated (Humidity should be no more than 65%), rainproof, waterproof and non-corrosive gas warehouse;
2) The product shall be packed in a complete way to prevent moisture;
3) The product shall avoid heavy weight, fall and other external mechanical damage during storage and transportation.
