Composition of Glass Backed Synthetic Mica Tape
Glass backed synthetic mica tape is consist of the most heat resistant Synthetic mica paper bonded to an electrical grade glass cloth or film as the supporting fabric, impregnated with a specially selected high temperature resistant silicone elastomer.
The product is free of asbestos which has no toxic gases at high temperature, and has good environmental performance.
Dimensions of Glass Backed Synthetic Mica Tape
Glass backed synthetic mica tape of thickness 0.15 mm is packaged in tape length of 500, 1000 and 2000 meters. This product is available from stock in thickness of 0.10 mm, 0.11 mm, 0.12 mm, 0.13mm, 0.14mm and 0.15 mm.
Fire Resistance
The glass backed synthetic mica tape shows quite exceptional flame-resistant characteristics.
The unique magnesium containing glass backed synthetic mica tape the best flame-resisting characteristics. The silicone elastomer, when exposed to a flame, gradually turns into inorganic silicon dioxide by oxidative pyrolysis which, itself, in conjunction with the Synthetic, offers outstanding electrical insulation properties at elevated temperatures.
Electrical Insulation
It has excellent insulation performance at high temperature, and can guarantee no breakdown within 90 minutes at 950 °C ~ 1050 °C and voltage of 600V ~ 1000V.
Chemical Resistance
It has the characteristics of acid and alkali resistance, corona resistance and radiation resistance. The product is dry, non-adhesive, has good bendability and flexibility, and has high tensile strength when wrapping wire and cable at high speed.
