1. Product Introduction

The copper clad steel wire is a bimetallic wire with a steel wire as its core and a copper layer on the outside. The copper clad steel wire combines the mechanical properties of high tensile strength of steel, high electrical properties of copper conductivity and low contact resistance in performance, so it has the characteristics of high conduction efficiency and high tensile strength.
We can provide copper-clad steel wire by electroplating method and coating method according to customers' requirements.
Among them, the electroplating method uses the principle of electrodeposition to plate a copper layer on the surface of the steel wire in a copper salt solution. The electroplated wire blanks are then stretched and heat treated to become copper clad steel wires of various specifications and properties.
The coating method is to pretreat the steel wire and the copper strip separately, and then wrap the copper strip on the surface of the steel wire by argon arc welding, and then draw the surface of the copper and the steel to achieve a good combination. So as to get copper clad steel wires with required specifications and performance.
Compared with pure copper wire, the copper clad steel wire has the following advantages:
(1) It has low transmission loss under high frequency, and its electrical performance fully meets the needs of CATV system;
(2) Under the same cross-section and condition, the mechanical strength of copper clad steel wire is twice that of solid copper wire. It can withstand large impacts and loads. When used in harsh environments and frequent movements, it has a higher reliability and fatigue resistance with long service life;
(3) The copper clad steel wire can be made with different conductivity and tensile strength, and its performance includes almost all the mechanical and electrical properties of copper alloys;
(4) The copper clad steel wire replaces copper with steel, which reduces the cost of the conductor;
(5) The copper clad steel wire cables are lighter than copper-core cables of the same structure, which can reduce transportation costs and facilitate installation.
