EAA (ethylene-acrylic acid) and ALEAA (anhydride-grafted low-density polyethylene) copolymer laminated aluminum tapes are widely used in the cable industry for shielding and moisture barrier applications. The EAA/AL-EAA layer provides excellent adhesion to the aluminum substrate and to the jacketing material, while the aluminum layer provides a high degree of electrical conductivity and shielding effectiveness. The resulting tape has good flexibility and can be easily wrapped around cables or formed into complex shapes. It also has excellent resistance to moisture, chemicals, and UV radiation.
