The sample of 0.35mm*70mm semi-conductive water blocking tape and non-conductive water blocking tape has been delivered to our customer for lab testing after technical confirmation with our customer in Sri Lanka.
The samples are all double-sided.
The semi-conductive water blocking tape is made of semi-conductive polyester fiber non-woven fabric, high-speed expansion water-absorbing resin and other materials. Among them, the semi-conductive base layer is manufactured by uniformly distributing the semi-conductive compound on a relatively flat, temperature-resistant, and high-strength base cloth; the semi-conductive resistive water material uses powdery polymer water-absorbing materials and conductive carbon black. The water material is attached to the base fabric by padding or coating. The semi-conductive water blocking tape has the function of absorbing water and swelling. It is widely used in the semi-conductive water layer of water-blocking type medium, high and ultra-high voltage power cables and other control and communication cables with shielding requirements, and plays a role of water blocking and shielding.

The water-blocking tape is a modern high-tech water-blocking material that is composed of polyester fiber non-woven fabric and high-speed expansion water-absorbing resin, and has the function of water-absorbing expansion. The excellent water blocking performance of then tape mainly comes from the strong water absorption performance of the high-speed expansion water-absorbing resin that is evenly distributed inside the product. The polyester fiber non-woven fabric adhered to the high-speed swelling water-absorbing resin ensures that the water-blocking tape has sufficient tensile strength and good longitudinal elongation. At the same time, the good permeability of polyester fiber non-woven fabrics effectively guarantees the ability of water blocking tape products to swell and block water immediately when exposed to water.
We can provide single-sided Semi/Non-conductive water blocking tape and double-sided Semi/Non-conductive water blocking tape. The single-sided tape is composed of a single layer of (semi-conductive)polyester fiber non-woven fabric and high-speed expansion water-absorbing resin; the double-sided tape is composed of (semi-conductive) polyester fiber non-woven fabric, high-speed expansion water-absorbing resin and (semi-conductive) polyester fiber non-woven fabric in turn.
